Lorde praises Kendrick Lamar's new album
Updated | By Tamlyn Canham
Lorde has described Kendrick Lamar as the most "influential artist in modern music".
Lorde says she is loving Kendrick Lamar's new album, 'Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers'. The 'Fallen Fruit' hitmaker says she admires how vulnerable the rapper is on the album.
“I cannot get over the most popular and influential artist in modern music displaying a working nervous system, admitting mistakes, trying to process intergenerational trauma and prejudice," she said in a newsletter to fans, according to Billboard.
Kendrick dropped his fifth studio album earlier this month. Music critics have heaped praise on the Grammy Award winner's new offering, which features the single, 'N95'.
Lorde described some of the songs on the album as "special".
"I love the way the album opens, the pace and heat of the first few songs, and later ‘Count Me Out,’ the build and strings in ‘Auntie Diaries’… special.”
