According to The Sun, the Grammy winner's new song will be called, 'Hold My Hand'.
Lady Gaga will reportedly release the track and its music video as early as May. Insiders who listened to the song are already predicting that it could get a nod at next year's Academy Awards.
American band, Berlin, won a 'Best Original Song' Oscar for 'Take My Breath Away', which featured in the first 'Top Gun' movie in 1987.
Lady Gaga also won a 'Best Original Song' award in 2019. 'Shallow' from 'A Star Is Born' received the gong in 2019. Lady Gaga starred in the movie alongside Bradley Cooper.
'Top Gun: Maverick' is set to hit big screens in May. Members of the royal family will be attending the movie's premiere in London.
Tom Cruise will be reprising his role as Captain Pete 'Maverick' Mitchell. The 59-year-old shot some of the scenes for the movie in South Africa.
Tom revealed that the actors had to go through intense film training to fly some of the planes featured in the movie.
"We worked with the Navy and the Top Gun school to formulate how to shoot it practically. Because if we're gonna do it, we're gonna fly in the F-18's," he said in a behind-the-scenes video for the movie.
Val Kilmer is also back as Admiral Tom 'Iceman' Kazansky. Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly, and Jon Hamm also appear in the film.
