Lizzo broke down in tears when she accepted her first Emmy Award for her hit reality show, 'Watch Out for the Big Grrrls'.
Doing it for the big grrrls! An emotional Lizzo took home the 'Best Competition Program' Emmy on Monday night.
The 34-year-old gave an emotional speech as she accepted the award for her Amazon Prime reality show, 'Lizzo’s Watch Out for the Big Grrrls'.
The 'About Damn Time' singer broke down in tears when her show was announced as the winner - beating shows such as 'The Voice', 'The Amazing Race', 'Top Chef', and 'RuPaul’s Drag Race'.
"When I was a little girl, all I wanted to see was me in the media. Someone fat like me. Black like me. Beautiful like me. If I could go back and tell little Lizzo something, I would be like, ‘You’re going to see that person, but b***h, it’s going to have to be you'." she said.

Lizzo also gave a shout-out to her "big girls". She called some of the women who worked on the show to join her on stage.
"One year ago, these women were filming this television show that would change their lives forever. They are Emmy award-winning superstars who are going on a world tour! Make some noise for my Big Grrrls. I love you so much. God bless y’all. This is for the big girls.”
The show also won two awards at the Creative Arts Emmys earlier this month. It scooped top honours in the 'Outstanding Directing for a Reality Program' and 'Outstanding Picture Editing for Structured Reality/Competition Program' categories.
