This will be the band's first album since the passing of their drummer, Taylor Hawkins. He passed away in March last year.
According to Variety, the new album will be entitled, 'But Here We Are', and it is set to be released in June.
In a press release, the band said the album will encapsulate everything they have had to endure in the past year, including the death of their dear band member.
“A brutally honest and emotionally raw response to everything Foo Fighters endured over the last year, ‘But Here We Are’ is a testament to the healing powers of music, friendship and family,” the band stated in the press release.
“Courageous, damaged and unflinchingly authentic, ‘But Here We Are’ opens with newly released lead single ‘Rescued,’ the first of 10 songs that run the emotional gamut from rage and sorrow to serenity and acceptance, and myriad points in between.”
