Cassper Nyovest on new album: 'No Amapiano at all'

South African rapper Cassper Nyovest shared some interesting titbits about his new album. The 32-year-old says he will be releasing the offering's music a little differently this time around.

"This album is perfect. I might not drop a single. I might just drop the whole project so it’s received in context. I don’t want any confusion so, the song that is dropping before the album isn’t a single. It’s a campaign. It’s a dope song but it’s not the sound of the album," he wrote on Twitter this week.

Cassper Nyovest Amapiano songs

Cassper also revealed that the album will not have Amapiano music.

He has faced criticism in the past for jumping on the Amapiano bandwagon. Some went as far as saying the 'Tito Mboweni' rapper was ruining the genre. 

But Cassper proved them all wrong with his 2021 hit, 'Siyathandana'. The track was a major hit with stars such as Drake jamming to the single.

Despite having some major success with the amapiano genre, Cassper says he is focusing on hip-hop.

"No Piano on the album AT ALL. My last piano verse I did was a song called Hokoto by Hbk live act. The song killing it on the streets. After that, I locked in and I made my best Hip Hop album at 32 years old," he told one Twitter user. 

It's been a while since Cassper released a new album and his fans can't wait to hear what he has been cooking up in the studio.

"It’ll all be worth it, trust me!!! This is the most important album for me and it had to be perfect," he wrote on Twitter.

Cassper Nyovest's new song

Cassper recently shared a teaser of a new song he is working on with Nobantu Vilakazi called, 'Summer Rose'.

"Vibing out with Nobantu Vilakazi tonight, final touches on the album with Alie Keyz," he captioned a video he shared on Instagram. 

He added in the comments: "All the 90ies babies check in!"

Based on the reaction from his fans, 'Summer Rose' is well on its way to becoming a certified hit! 

"That joint Summer Rose by @casspernyovest is too powerful !!! Ready for that album now," one fan wrote.
