This is not the first time Beyoncé has talked about how Tina has been inspirational in her life.
“Every now and then, when I think of inspiration, I think of the two Tinas in my life — that’s my mother, Tina, and of course, the amazing Tina Turner," she said at the Kennedy Center Awards in 2005.
Tina, whose real name is Anna Mae Bullock, passed away on 24 May at the age of 83.
The phenomenal singer rose to fame in the early 1960s. To date, she has sold nearly 200-million records and won eight Grammys.
She reportedly died of natural causes.
According to the family representative, her family will have "a private funeral ceremony attended by close friends and family."
