Three tasty ways to use chia seeds

Here's how you can use chia seeds to make a tasty treat for breakfast.
Health fanatics are crazy about chia seeds. The superfood has many benefits, and is fast becoming a must in many homes.
The calcium found in chia seeds help keep your bones strong, while antioxidants, which are good for your skin, help prevent premature aging.
They can also be easily included into a number of dishes, and are mostly used at breakfast.
Here's how you can add chia seeds into your morning meals:
Chia seed porridge bowl
Sprinkle some chia seeds in your morning oats. Add some coconut flakes, and fruit such as blueberries and bananas, and you are good to go!
Chia seed pudding
Making pudding out of chia seeds is super easy. You will need: a quarter cup of chia seeds, one cup of milk, and some honey (optional). Place in the fridge, and wait for the mixture to thicken, and the chia seeds to gel. Top your pudding off with chopped fruit and nuts for extra flavour.
Chia seed smoothie
Chia seeds are also great for making smoothies. You can make a berry smoothie with chia seeds. You will need: two teaspoons of chia seeds, one cup of frozen blueberries and strawberries, one cup of almond milk (you can also use water), one frozen banana, and a teaspoon of honey (optional). Combine the chia seeds and milk in a bowl, mix, and place in the fridge (wait until they have absorbed most of the liquid). Add the rest of the ingredients into a blender, and puree. Next add the chia seeds mixture to your fruit mix, and blend.
