Today marks exactly one year since we lost the legendary Johnny Clegg. Today on East Coast Gold, we remember Johnny Clegg's life by looking at some of his most memorable performances with his son, Jesse.
Clegg is one of the most celebrated artists in the country because of the role he played in uniting South Africans during the apartheid era.
The 'Asimbonanga' hitmaker enjoyed many great moments on stage during his career. He performed for Nelson Mandela and toured the world with his music.

He has also received many awards, including the Chevalier des Arts et Lettres (Knight of Arts and Letters) by the French Government and an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree from Dartmouth College, Hanover, NH, USA.
Clegg loved collaborating with his talented son, Jesse.
