He definitely picked the wrong ditch to fall into!
Cyclists put themselves at risk every time they hit the road.
Unlike motorbikes, they do not have a sound that notifies motorists that they are close by. That alone is a huge risk.

This cyclist, though, endured a different kind of accident when out on the road.
He had a horrible fall into a cactus ditch and you can only imagine how painful this was?!

We hope that he was able to get all the prickly plants off of his body and is in recovery.
He will probably be taking a much-needed break from cycling and that's fine!
