Full list of SAMA nominees

Congratulations to all the SAMA nominees. 

The nominees were announced on Wednesday evening. 

Kabza De Small is leading the way with six nominations, including 'Album of the Year', 'Male Artist of the Year', and 'Best Amapiano Album'. 

Another leading artist was newcomer Bucy Radebe. The gospel artist, who came onto the music scene in 2020 with her album 'Spiritual Encounter', has received four nominations for 'Sofnfree Female Artist of the Year', 'White Star Newcomer of the Year', 'Best Traditional Faith Music Album', and 'Best Live AudioVisual Recording'. 

"Thank You South Africa. This is so amazing and will definitely speed up my healing process . 4 Sama nominations for a new comer artist it something i ddnt expect," the star wrote on Facebook.

The nominees in the 'Beste Kontemporêre Musiek Album' are: Refentse, Die Heuwels Fantasties, Bernice West, Ruhan Du Toit, and Riaan Benadê. 

For the 'Best Hip Hop Album' award, Boity is competing with Nadia Nakai, Nasty C,  Yanga Chief, and Zakwe & Duncan.
