Dancer-turned-DJ Kevin Federline has allegedly rejected Britney Spears' proposal for a new child support agreement.

He asked the 'Oops I Did It Again' hitmaker to increase her current payments of $20,000. Media reports claim the 40-year-old wants the figure to be doubled.

Britney and Kevin have two children together, Jayden James and Sean Preston. Kevin gained sole custody of the boys in 2008 after Britney's meltdown. The singer's father, Jamie, became her court-appointed conservator.

News surfaced in February that Kevin sent Britney a letter via his lawyers requesting an adjustment to her child support payments.

Their original deal was based on her income at the time, but following the success of Britney's Las Vegas residency - which grossed $137-million - Kevin now wants an increase.

Britney's father drew up a new deal, which according to Us Weekly, Kevin has "flatly rejected". This means the former couple could be heading to court to settle the matter.

"Kevin truly wanted to try and settle the child support payment increase without getting the courts involved out of respect for Britney, and of course, their two sons," a source told the publication.

Meanwhile, Jamie is allegedly now demanding that Kevin produce his 2017 tax returns. He reportedly wants to see if the DJ, who has four other kids, is actually working or relying on Britney to get by.

He also wants Kevin to provide a clear list of all his expenses for Jayden and Sean.

Kevin has two children with 'Moesha' actress Shar Jackson, and two daughters with his current wife, Victoria Prince.

Britney will likely have to fork out more money, but only time will tell just how much she will have to pay.
