“I’m a pastor’s kid who lives a rock star life!” says Rock Mbambo, and with that phrase you know that humour plays a huge part in this radio rookie’s life.

 

Stand-up comedy clips, jokes and hilarious real life experiences is what Rock shares in the early hours of the weekend.

 

He’s a people’s person and loves making new friends, be it at a club, a shopping centre or at social gatherings.

 

Rock’s love affair with radio began in 2013 when he joined the East Coast Radio Sales team as an intern.

 

It was then he realised his dream was to be on-air. Now he can tick that one off the box.

 

Rock’s taste in music is as diverse as his sense of humour – go through his iPod and you’ll find hip hop, reggae, classical and jazz.

 

When he’s not on-air or hanging out where lots of people are, Rock loves chilling at home in front of the TV with his favourite four-legged friend – Omelette, the Jack Russell.
