Justin Timberlake made a triumphant return to the Super Bowl on Sunday.

Fourteen years after his controversial performance with Janet Jackson, the former 'NSYNC band member was able to redeem himself with an amazing half-time show.

Justin belted out his latest single, 'Filthy' - which is off his new album 'Man of the Woods' - as well as 'Cant' Stop the Feeling' from the movie 'Trolls'.

He also took his fans on a trip down memory lane with the singles, 'Cry Me a River', 'Suit & Tie', 'Until the End of Time' and 'Mirrors' during his 12-minute show.

Justin's half-time show included a tribute to Prince. He originally planned to have a hologram of the 'Purple Rain' hitmaker, which left the late musician's fans fuming.

Prince had disapproved of holograms in the past.

"That whole virtual reality thing... it really is demonic. And I am not a demon," he said in 1998.

Prince's ex Sheila E. spoke to Justin before his performance, and he assured her there would be no hologram.

“Prince told me don’t ever let anyone do a hologram of me. Not cool if this happens!” Sheila E. tweeted before the show.

Instead of using a hologram, Justin projected a video of Prince singing 'I Would Die 4 U' on a large sheet.

Justin's performance received mixed reviews on social media. His choice of outfit also had people talking.

Justin Timberlake's 'Filthy' single is currently at number 22 on the Coca-Cola Top 40.
