The 18th annual Latin Grammy Awards were held in Las Vegas on Thursday night, and Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's global hit, 'Despacito', was the biggest winner.

The single received "Record of the Year",  "Song of the Year" (songwriter's award), and "Best Urban Fusion / Performance" for the 'Despacito' remix featuring Justin Bieber.

The song also won best short form video.

Released on January 12, 'Despacito' is undoubtedly the biggest song of 2017.

It made it to number one on the Coca-Cola Top 40, and other charts around the world.

The video for the mega hit made history in August when it became the first YouTube video to reach three-billion views.

The song also helped take reggaeton music to a worldwide audience.

While Luis Fonsi was on hand to pick up the song's Latin Grammy awards, Daddy Yankee was notably absent.

But Luis squashed rumours that he was not getting along with Daddy Yankee and Justin.

"There’s no problem. They are my brothers and without them I would not have accomplished this," he told reporters backstage.
