Cassper Nyovest got the opportunity to work with Moroccan-American  musician French Montana recently, and has described their collaboration as "wavy fun".

The 'Tito Mboweni' hitmaker took to social media to share pictures with the rapper.

"Me and French made something very wavy the other day in studio," he said on Twitter.

French Montana was in Durban for the Vodacom Durban July festivities, and happily posed for pictures with several local stars.

Cassper told TshisaLIVE he hit it off with the star, and the pair decided to head straight into studio, where they bounced lyrics off each other.

"We left the Durban July early to go into studio. The energy was just too great and we knew that we needed to work together as soon as possible, so why wait?" he told the publication.

The 26-year-old described their session as "relaxed", adding that it felt like "family just hanging out".

So when can we expect this track to hit our airwaves?

Cassper says they haven't decided who the track belongs to just yet.

"I'm not sure if I will release it or he will. I might keep it for the next album like I did with the track with (The Roots rapper) Black Thought," he added.

French Montana's latest single, 'Unforgettable', is a major hit in South Africa. It's currently at number 34 on the Coca-Cola Top 40 chart.
